Native Virginian Debra Gogatz is a healthcare educator and certified nurse-midwife with extensive experience presenting educational programs to students, clinicians, and community audiences. She has taught in academic and clinical settings, led professional trainings, and presented health-focused programs at conferences, community health summits, and continuing education events. Her work emphasizes evidence-based practice, clear communication, and learner engagement. She seeks to show readers of all ages that biological science is accessible and wonderful. She writes under her maiden name, Debra Lynn Tolley.
